Antonia Lofaso

Chef Antonia Lofaso's food is an invitation to dive into the depths of her personal world. The curiosity in her grew after she left her home in the Long Island suburbs to explore the rich cultural diversity of Los Angeles. Cavatellis and carnitas coexisting on the same menu is her belief. However, what is consistent with her food is an unifying vision of the future, while also reminiscing about the past. Scopa Italian Roots opened its doors in 2013 and was immediately popular. Lofaso's rendition of old school Italian dishes is among the top restaurants in Los Angeles. Lofaso is consistently praised by Scopa's patrons because the food is authentic and unmistakably satisfying. Lofaso apprenticed under culinary legends and absorbed their sophisticate techniques however she wasn't afraid of taking risks that were too high in order to follow her intuition. She swiftly rose up the ranks of Wolfgang Puck's Spago after which she went further to collaborate with celebs in several Los Angeles kitchens. Lofaso established Black Market Liquor Bar with Sal Aurora and Mario Guddemi in Studio City, California. In Black Market and the business alliances she created, Lofaso was able to find a home. Lofaso would find the freedom to express her creativity that she desired through this collaboration. Black Market's intention is not to be restricted in any way. The course could start with chips of dill potato and shishito chili peppers. Then it's the lobster roll Korean wings, and then a series of meatballs. Antonia, the chef behind this menu filled with mouthwatering and strong flavors, is the anchor of everything. Lofaso assesses the success she has had over the course of her career based on her ability to understand her audience and be authentic to who she is. Her memorable performance on Top Chef Chicago and Top Chef: All Stars highlighted her uniqueness outside of the kitchen. Her talents are still shining in front of the camera, as a judge on CNBC's Restaurant Startup as well as in recurring role on the Food Network's Cutthroat Kitchen Man vs. Child and ABC's Real O'neals. In 2012 Lofaso joined with Penguin to publish the Busy Mom's Cookbook 100 Cooking Ideas for Delicious home-cooked Meals, which also describes the challenges she overcame when she was studying at the world-class French Culinary Institute, and simultaneously caring for her child Xea. Lofaso insists that the drive that drives her success originates from the kitchen and it is in this way that she has a to keep her finger on the pulse. Chefletics revolutionizes the look of chef wear with its focus on style and functionality. Lofaso believes that sticking to the way you see yourself is crucial.
