Country-pop and actor writer Jana Kramer rose to fame through television, where she was part of the cast on One Tree Hill as Alex during its last three seasons. She was featured in several episodes as a new country singer, which helped her debut album reach the Billboard 200 Top 20. Thirty One from 2015 reached the top ten spot. Over the past decade, she appeared on Dancing with the Stars as well in TV movies and several TV shows. She also released some singles which weren't albums. It was 2021 when The Doubting Voices was released. Growing up in Rochester Hills Michigan Jana Rae Kramer grew up on country music and would eventually be pursuing a recording career. However, she started her career as a performer, who made her screen debut on the screen in the 2002 independent horror film Dead/Undead when she was still in her teen years. Guest spots on shows such as All My Children and CSI: NY followed over the subsequent years before she landed the recurring part as Noelle Davenport on NBC's Friday Night Lights in the series' second season 2007-2008. Kramer appeared as Portia Ranson on 90210 from 2008 to 2009 and Brooke Manning on Entourage 2009 before being cast on the The CW's One Tree Hill as Alex Dupre in 2009. She continued to appear until the final season of the show in the year 2012. Jana Kramer Kramer, during her stint in One Tree Hill signed with Elektra Records. She debuted contemporary country song I Won't give up in a 2011 One Tree Hill episode. By the middle of 2012, the song was released on her debut entire album Jana Kramer. It was a part of the Top Five of the Billboard Top Country Albums chart. Following a shift to her professional musical career, she continued to act and was in films like Heart of the Country 2013 (which attracted her fan base) as well as Country Crush 2016 (which would draw her fans of music). Kramer dropped her second album Thirty One on Warner Music Nashville in October 2015. I Got the Boy - a Top Five Country hit - as well as Steven Tyler, Aerosmith's lead vocalist, singing a duet on to make it into the top 10 of the Billboard 200. After a two-month stint on 23rd Dancing with the Stars season, she finished 4th. In the same year, she had an adult contemporary hit featuring Feels Like Christmas which featured Straight No Chaser.
