Awkwafina

Awkwafina is an American actress and musician. She started by releasing hilarious, intelligently composed music that tackled topics like race as well as sexuality. Later, she broadened her audience to Hollywood. Nora Lum was born to Chinese Koreans living in Forest Hills Queens. Her first encounter with music was through the instrument of trumpet. She also received classical and jazz training later becoming a hip-hop teenager. While at school, she majored in journalism and women's studies at college, even learning Mandarin in Beijing for a stint. Following graduation, she decided to pursue music as her main focus. The year 2012 saw My Vag (as a retort to Mickey Avalon's My Dick) became an online hit, and it was featured in her debut album Yellow Ranger. The album also featured viral hit tracks like body-positive Queef and a wink-y home tour NYC BitcheUSD. The final track was linked directly to Awkwafina's NYC Travel Guide, which was released in the year 2015. A musician and author was on her resume she determined to pursue an actor for a third venture. Her film credits include films like Neighbors 2, Storks, and Bad Rap. Her breakthrough came in the year 2018 when she appeared in a number of movies that were highly regarded, such as Dude Ocean's 8 and Crazy Rich Asians. In June she debuted her debut film, In Fina We Trust.
