Aunjanue Ellis

Aunjanue Taylor is an American actor and producer who is best famous for the roles she was on the television series Ray Undercover Brother, The Mentalist and The television series The Mentalist. She is a graduate of the BA in African-American Studies and an MFA from Tisch School of the Arts New York University. Aunjanue Ellis is an American actor and producer active in theater, film and TV. Her acting career began in the theatre. Later, she was a part of several television shows, independent films and mainstream film. She came to prominence as Miranda Shaw on ABC's Quantico and was a part of the epic BET series The Book of Negroes for which she not only received praise from critics but also a number of nominations and awards, including the Television Critics Choice Award nomination for the Best Actress in a Film. In 1995 she made her acting debut in The Tempest as Ariel. Alongside the Broadway production Come and Gone, she is also credited in Drowning Crow as well as Seeking the Genesis. In her film career, she's best known for roles such as Men of Honor The Caveman's Valentine The Express or The Help. Her role on television in ABC's police drama series High Incident has earned her praises.
