Kristen Anne Bell was born in 1980 and is an American singer and actress. Her parents were Tom Bell and Lorelei Frygier and both are television news directors. Bell was raised and from Huntington Woods Michigan. Her heritage includes Polish (mother) and German, English, Irish, and Scottish (father). Kristen's passion for acting was recognized at an early age. In 1992, Kristen attended her first audition. She got the role in Raggedy Ann And Andy. Bell's mother established her with an agent when she was thirteen, and she was subsequently cast for television and newspaper commercials. Also, she began acting lessons in private at that time. Bell was in a role of minor importance that was not credited to her in Polish Wedding (1998), in 1998. Bell participated in the Drama and Music Club of Shrine Catholic High School. When her school staged a production of The Wizard of Oz, Bell was chosen to play Dorothy. Bell went to an institution called the Tisch School of the Arts where she studied Musical Theater within New York City. Bell quit her college in 2001 after she was cast in the role Becky for Tom Sawyer. In 2001, she was the first to make her credit debut playing the character of Becky Pootie Tang. But the scene she played was removed from the film and her appearance was only as a credit. Bell was part of the Broadway revival The Crucible starring Liam Neeson as well as Angela Bettis.
