
Amanda Louise Holden (born 16 February 1971) is an English actress who is a journalist, media personality, and singer. Since 2007 she has served as an official judge of Britain's Got Talent television talent competition on ITV. Jamie Theakston and Holden co-host the Heart Breakfast radio program on the weekdays. Holden was born in Portsmouth in Hampshire. She spent most of her growing up in Bishop's Waltham. At nine she was a member of the Bishop's Waltham Little Theatre Company. Holden is also a part of TV credits, including three series featuring Caroline Quentin and Chris Langham on the comedy Kiss Me Kate, three episodes on ITV's The Grimleys and Celeb With Harry Enfield, and a special Agatha Christie episode "4.50 from Paddington" to celebrate Boxing Day. In Ready When You Are Mr. McGill by Jack Rosenthal she appeared alongside Bill Nighy, Tom Courtenay, and Aleha Dixon. Holden, Alesha Dixon and David Walliams are judges on Britain's Got Talent. She was a judge on Britain's Got Talent from 2006 until 2006.
